If you love history and archeology you’ll love Tikal.  It’s located in the far northern part of Guatemala in the Department of the Peten.  It is a jungle rich area and sparsely populated now, however, that wasn’t the story during the Classic Period from 200-900 AD.  During that time, it was a strong bustling dynasty in the Mayan world.

Today, you’ll enjoy a tour through this UNESCO World Heritage site, viewing ruins and hearing more of the history firsthand.  Visit neighboring ancient cities such as Yaxha and Topoxte.

Tikal is most easily accessed flying into Flores from Guatemala City.  It’s an easy one hour flight and we’ll help you get all set up with local guides, transportation and beautiful jungle hotels.
